About

mira profile

I’m Mira Manunta, professional food photographer and food stylist with 10+ years of experience in the field.

The basic principle of my work: to develop, showcase and photograph dishes and drinks in a way that makes the reader want to eat it/make it instantly.

While artsy and moody photographs be can beautiful and meaningful, I usually go for bright, life-like and realistic.

During a photoshoot, I make every decision about styling and composition based on how it can complement and highlight the object of the photo instead of overpower it. This approach makes the object “jump out”, thus making it “in reach” for the reader.

To summarize: in order to create photos that “sell”, I try to find the best combination of “life-like” and aesthetic.

I started doing food photography in 2015 when I decided to start a food blog. Back then, I used an iphone to shoot photos, but after a few months I bought my very first Canon camera that made me fall in love with the art of food photography.

Why should you work with me?
I’m a proactive, precise and very detail-oriented person. I make the most of every project I work on. Every photo is delivered on time and without errors.

Where do I work?
In my fully equipped home studio (and on location in Budapest, Hungary). I take all my relevant equipment with me to location shoots, so the client doesn’t have any extra work or cost.
